Fashionistas alert! Here comes the birthday girl with style and cupcakes!
These tiny Hermes bags and Chanel shoes were requested by my friend Farrah on behalf of her friend Farah. Love the name :) Making these cupcakes were so much fun. Even before I placed them on the cuppies, I felt so excited to see so many deliciously coloured handbags and shoes all in row. I guess only a girl would feel that kind of euphoria, even with miniature sized accessories. Heck, just shrink me and let me slip these on :)
I was really happy when the birthday girl came to pick up the cupcakes and was truly delighted. It's times like these that make me love creating for The Cake Boutique.
Little Maya loves Toy Story so much I thought what's better than to place real toys for her to take home and play with. When she saw her cake she kept wanting to play with it but of course waited for everyone to see her cut the cake first. What a day! A sweet sweet cake and fun toys to bring home.
Happy 4th birthday Maya!
"Make it a guy with super duper curly hair!" said my dear childhood friend Farrah excitedly as she described how she wanted me to create the sugar paste mini model of her brother in law for her sister's birthday cake. She also said that it would be nice because her sister will have her most favourite thing in the world on her cake, which is of course her husband :)
Hope you guys enjoyed the chocolate cake. Happy birthday Sophie!

The only thing the birthday girl wanted on her cake was buttercream, buttercream and more buttercream! Sofia loved our buttercream so much that it didn't matter what her cake looked like, she wanted it to be covered with icing.
We decided that we wanted to create something cute and playful so went with the little mermaid. Mermaids somehow bring back some kind of childhood girly memory and we wanted to do just that for her. When Sofia saw her cake she was full of surprise and excitement. To Sofia, hope you enjoyed your birthday and cake :)

Hot Mama Rio Elani gave birth to hers and Proud Papa Kevin Zahri's little bundle of joy on December 22nd 2010. And what an exciting day it was as Rio and Kevin updated all of us via internet on the journey of the birth of Rafael Zahri. (In detail, I kid you not. Lol.)
This cake was requested by Damien, one of Kevin's oldest and dearest friend. Damien wanted to surprise Rio and Kevin during his first visit to see Baby Rafa. We thought what better than to put a mini fondant baby on a cake with all his baby items on it.
When the cake arrived, Rio and Kevin were delighted. It took a while for us to cut the cake as no one wanted to accidently cut the baby! ;) In the end everyone enjoyed a slice of the chocolate cake.
Here's to Baby Rafa, wishing you and your family all the best!

|Congratulations Alvin and Diana!|
Nothing says party like buttercream. A little too sweet you say? But a happy indulgence nonetheless to take us down memory lane. Children just can't get enough of it - and why not on their special day :)?

Mom's birthday was around the corner and we needed a perfect cake for the occasion. She had requested for a chocolate prune cake and to best complement the moist chocolaty richness of the cake was to cover it with more chocolate! This one layer chocolate prune cake was coated with chocolate ganache and topped with our own coloured white chocolate buttons for a fun polka dotted celebration.
M for Mickey! M is also what loved ones call this adorable birthday boy. For his first birthday, he blew out a 2 tiered birthday cake decorated with the Disney playhouse and a few all time favourite Disney characters. The cupcakes were covered with blue and red buttercream icing as well as fondant 2D and 3D mickey ears. Happy birthday M!
*Thank you Nooramy Ismail for the pictures.

Mahmud turned 1 and he wanted to celebrate it with his favourite character Special Agent Oso. Happy birthday Mahmud and hope you enjoyed the cake!
Happy Birthday Ashley! A princess cake for a lovely little princess with cupcakes topped with hearts and butterflies to match. What a delight this will make for any little girl's party.
These cupcakes were a special gift for little baby Zoe. It was her 1st birthday and we wanted to celebrate her turning one with these Disney Playhouse inspired cupcakes. These little baby Mickey and Minnie Mouse are a great gift to celebrate any occasion!
This cake was a special order for Nana. After spending all her time gardening and watching her flowers bloom. Her grandchildren knew how much she would love a cake celebrating her love for gardening.
The cake was a vanilla cake covered in green fondant. The flowers, flower pots, white picket fences and cobblestones were also sculpted using coloured fondant.
Natasha just celebrated her 18th Birthday and the cake was given to her as a surprise. The theme colors of the party which were purple and silver were incorporated in the design of the cake. The end result was a four layer vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream icing. The cake topper was custom made just for Natasha with silver, purple, pink and white crystals making it look like an explosion of fireworks. What a wonderful souvenir to remember the night. Happy Birthday Natasha! Hope you had a wonderful birthday.
